note: “85% percentile – 45mph” means that the maximum speed traveled by 85% of the vehicles was 45mph OR LESS. (my previously posted definition was wrong, sorry for the misunderstanding)
note: the crash figures only refer to the small area where the counters were placed and are not related to speed or the overall number of crashes on the road.
The town of Plainfield asked Central Vermont Regional Planning to make a traffic study of roads near the village.

To me a better statistic would be the percentage of cars traveling at or below speed limit, or above the speed limit
